Satellite-based earth observation is a classic aspect of space business. OHB DIGITAL’s earth observation services use different sensors, such as optical cameras, radar systems, hyperspectral scanners and radiometers, to explore the surface of the earth as well as scientific instruments to identify the composition of the atmosphere.
OHB DIGITAL validates space data by means of in situ cartography for land use mapping for agriculture and forestry as well as for tracking other environmental aspects such as the impact of opencast mining activities.
